Who goes to these OHiL meetings?

We welcome all Old Herefordians from ANY Cathedral School era, regardless of when you left HCS or in which Year Group you belong.

Younger students (YOHiLs)

As well as welcoming the more senior OHs at each event, OHiL also wants to encourage all you young OHs based in or around the Capital to join our casual pub gatherings here in Central London.

Maybe you have only just become an Old Herefordian for the first time. In that case, you might wish to link up with your former classroom contemporaries at some stage so as to compare notes on how you are each getting on. Well, these pub reunions represent an ideal opportunity for you to rendezvous and, at the same time meet OHs from other HCS eras and different backgrounds.

Just enrolled at a College or University?

We have previously staged an evening meeting in a City wine bar at the beginning of October (*) to which we hope as many new students as possible will come along before they commence studies for the Autumn Semester.

By coming to these evening events, you will not only meet other like-minded students with whom you can ‘chill out’ prior to the start of lectures in what will be a completely new environment, but you will also meet OHs who have been in the workplace for a while since becoming Old Herefordians themselves.

(*)Future reunions at The Counting House. EC3

PS> To those of you reading this article for the first time and who would like to find out when the next evening gathering is due to take place, please write to admin@ohil.org.uk quoting OCT2014 so that we may communicate with you directly. We’ll hope to be able to not only provide details of who might be attending but also a precise date which you can insert in your social diary.
