Commemorating 100th Anniversary of The Armistice

An Evening of Words & Music – 7pm in the Cathedral on Thursday 8th November 2018

As everyone will know, this year marks the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One, when an agreement was reached between Germany and the Allies that ended fighting on the Western Front.

For the past four years, the School has held a special memorial event inside the cathedral on a weekday closest to the 11th November entitled Words & Music, attended by HCS governors, staff, students and OHs plus members of the public.  It serves as a way of remembering all those Herefordians who lost their lives during the conflict.

This was the scene in The Close following a freak snow storm in April 2018 whilst the special ceramic POPPY display was still in place.
